Possibly unpopular opinion? Hotshot was never my favorite character. I thought he was kind of a dick. But he worked in the story and fit completely, so I never really hated him. I just wouldn’t like to interact with him. Meh.

Stop with the tears and the Ed because you will just make me go dfjksdf /creys over everything, okay? I have feelings about Ed, and every single time he and Nita were talking I just couldn’t help but think of what was to come. I just can’t with the borrowing wizardry and the sacrifice and the Timeheart… I cannot communicate my feelings and thought about Ed effectively. The fact that he chose to take Nita’s wizardry and do such a thing and how it was hinted at before… I just can’t.

I did find the whole shape-change interesting throughout the whole story. I’m surprised you really didn’t mention it. The whole thing with Nita sort of tricking herself into becoming a whale and Kit battling mentally with the whalesark, plus all of the detail and mention of how different being a whale was to being human. And every time they mentioned communicating through song. AHHHH goes my mind. I was especially amused with how everyone’s voices were described as feeling. I wish that was a thing. Or perhaps I am not paying enough attention. …and now I am wondering how my voice sounds. If you say soft and soothing I will kick you, Katie.

I swear, every book of this series I read I just reach a point where I have to stop and get my feelings together. It might be because I’ve had these in my life for so long, but every time I read these books I just get so many feelings. It’s going to get worse. So much worse!
